Hero Statue
by dannytaylor
Hero Statue adds a statue block that holds an item and can be posed with redstone, for players who build displays on Fabric or Quilt.
What it does
A Hero Statue block holds an item, which the statue shows while a player interacts with it while holding that item. Players set the statue's pose by sending a redstone signal through comparators, and the pose can be kept between uses. The behaviour of the pose is set by a game rule that defaults to on, and the rule can be changed to off so that the statue no longer remembers its last pose. A second rule governs posing with empty hands.
The mod needs Fabric API and runs on Fabric and Quilt for 1.21.8 only, with the first build published on 2025-08-02 and the latest file, 1.0.5, on 2025-08-30. Because the environment is client and server, the server and every player need the mod. Iris Shaders and Mod Menu are optional. The code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and source and an issue tracker are public.
Key features
Item display
The statue holds a chosen item and shows it when a player interacts with the block while holding that item.
Redstone posing
Comparator output sets the current pose, so a circuit can change the statue's stance.
Pose memory rule
A game rule controls whether the statue remembers its last set pose, with a default that keeps it.
Shader pack rendering
The statue renders with the vanilla render type, and an extra pipeline workaround keeps it compatible with shader packs.

Use cases
Build displays

Who it’s for: Builders and redstone players who want a posable statue that holds an item, and server owners who can set the pose game rules for their world.

What the author says
As a workaround, we've copied the ENTITY_CUTOUT and ENTITY_EYES pipeline overrides. We picked these pipelines as they provide a similar effect to our custom pipelines, however it's not 1:1 and some features such as the jeb_ easter egg won't be rendered when a shader pack is active. This functionality matches the…
