Haunt Furnace

by jship

Haunt Furnace adds a furnace variant that processes blocks and items through a haunting recipe type, converting materials such as cobblestone, dirt and sand into new results.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.19 – 1.21.5

What it does

Haunting recipes use the hauntfurnace:haunting recipe type, written in the same format as a standard smelting recipe, so datapacks can add new ones. The mod ships with over 30 haunting recipes. Some turn cobblestone and blackstone into infested or nether mushroom variants, while others convert dirt and sand into soul soil or soul sand, which can then be used to make soul campfires, torches and lanterns.

Haunt Furnace is a standalone mod for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge and is open source under the MIT License. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files cover 1.19 – 1.21.5, with the latest builds for 1.21.1 and 1.20.6.

Key features

  1. Haunting recipe type

Recipes use the hauntfurnace:haunting type and follow the same JSON layout as standard smelting recipes.

  2. Over 30 built-in recipes

The mod includes more than thirty haunting recipes covering stone, mushroom, soil and lighting variants.

  3. Soul variants

Dirt and sand can be haunted into soul soil and soul sand, which feed into soul campfires, torches and lanterns.

  4. Bulk haunting with Create

A furnace variant performs bulk haunting when Create is installed, and it applies the same recipes as the standalone furnace.

  5. Recipe viewer support

Haunting recipes can be browsed in EMI, Just Enough Items and Roughly Enough Items.
