Harou's Leashed Fences
by bsharou
Harou's Leashed Fences lets players tie fences together with leads, so a line of fence posts can be linked with leashes instead of being built as one solid wall.
What it does
Players create a leash knot on a fence post and attach a lead to it, then connect the lead to another fence. The connection is drawn as a visible lead between the two posts, so the run of fence reads as one linked structure. A knot can take several connections, and a fence that already has a knot can receive new ones without being replaced.
The mod works alongside vanilla leashing, so mobs can still be leashed to fences as usual. It uses a custom leashing implementation rather than hacky invisible entities to hold the connections. The mod is published for Fabric only, in the 1.21.10 – 26.2 range, with six release versions covering 1.21.10, 1.21.11, 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2 and 26.2. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Fabric API is required, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Fence-to-fence leashing
A lead can link one fence post to another, forming a connected run of fence.
Multiple knot connections
A single leash knot can hold several connections at once, branching to more than one fence.
Existing fences supported
Fences that already have a knot can take new connections, so existing builds can be extended.
Vanilla leashing kept
Mobs can still be leashed to fences with the usual vanilla mechanics.

Use cases
Fence lines and pens
Linked fence posts can outline paddocks, gardens or yards where every post is joined by leads.
Who it’s for: Builders who want fences joined by visible leads, and server owners who run builds where fence connections matter.
How it compares
Lead Fences is server-side only and published for Fabric 1.21.8 – 26.3, so players can join without installing it; the code is open source under the MIT License. Leash Fences runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt for 1.21.6 – 26.3, and only the server needs it, while players may add it; it is open source under the MIT License. Olafs Relatively Placed Blocks targets Fabric for 1.21.1 – 26.2, runs on client and server, and is licensed under the Apache License 2.0, so it is not open source.
