Googun adds four goo-based pods to Fabric 1.21.8 that change how players move through the world, with effects inspired by Portal 2's Gels.
What it does
Googun adds several new goo types that players load into guns and shoot onto blocks, where they alter the terrain and how players traverse it. Each goo has its own effect on movement, and the effects can be combined to build puzzles and reach places that are otherwise hard to cross.
The mod is client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it requires Fabric API. Builds are published for Fabric 1.21.8 only, with 0.1.4 as the latest file from 2025-09-04. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, though its source code is public.
Key features
Four goo pods
Four types of goo pod exist, each with a single purpose, from cleansing nearby goo to changing momentum.
Cleansing Pod
The most basic pod removes goo within a short range. Its contents are described as safe to drink.
Bouncy Goo Pod
This pod creates soft goo that bounces off blocks and softens the landing after a fall.
Speedy and Sticky Goo
Speedy goo greatly increases momentum when stepped on, while sticky goo slows a player sliding down a wall but still allows horizontal movement.
