Glowcase is a ModFest mod for creative-only blocks that display text, item stacks and symbols, which suits adventure maps, server spawns and virtual events.

What it does

Blocks in the Glowcase creative tab can be reconfigured by right-clicking them with a matching item. Text blocks show formatted text with colors, bold, italic, underline and strikethrough, and they accept custom hex colors, a shadow, a tinted backdrop and a scale that makes large signs possible. Text can run over many lines beyond the block borders, and it is edited in a multiline editor that supports copy and paste.

Item blocks display a floating stack with its name on hover, dispense a copy of the stack, rotate toward the nearest player, and can be set to a desired stack. Link blocks open a web page or hand out items. Glowcase needs Fabric API on Fabric and Quilt and Connector with FFAPI on NeoForge, and it lists Polydex as an optional dependency. Text Placeholder API is bundled inside the mod. The mod runs on client and server, and its code is under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, so it is open source. Files cover 1.19 – 26.1.2 across Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt.

    Text blocks support inline colors, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough and fonts, plus a shadow and a tinted backdrop that can be toggled.

    Item blocks can dispense a copy of their stack or rotate toward the player, and both behaviors can be switched on and off.

  5. Link and give-out blocks

    Some blocks open a custom external link or hand out items when used, and a custom title can appear on hover.
