Gendustry: CE
Gendustry: CE is a Forge addon for Forestry: CE that automates genetic work on bees, trees and butterflies through machines such as the Industrial Apiary and the Genetic Transposer.
What it does
The Gendustry: CE machines add genetic modification to the Forestry: CE bee, tree and butterfly systems. The Industrial Apiary is a mechanical hive that takes upgrades and automates bee work. It can trigger a mutation between two organisms at a 100% success rate, and the advanced version lets the player choose which mutation is triggered. The Genetic Transposer extracts random alleles from organisms into Gene Samples and combines them into a Genetic Template, replaces an organism's genome with the alleles of a complete template, produces a new organism from a template using Liquid DNA Protein, and copies Gene Samples and Genetic Templates.
The supporting machines turn raw material into the liquids the other machines consume. The DNA Extractor converts organisms into Liquid DNA, and the Protein Liquefier converts raw meat into Liquid Protein. Gendustry: CE is a modern successor to bdew's original Gendustry addon for Forestry and is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only. The server and every player need the mod installed. Files are published for Forge 1.20.1, and the latest file is 1.0.4, released 2026-01-05.
