Future MC
Future MC brings blocks and items from later Minecraft versions, including bells, lanterns, campfires and trident, to Forge 1.12.2.
What it does
The mod adds several blocks and items backported from later Minecraft releases. Bells hang on walls or ceilings, lanterns sit on the ground or hang from chains, and barrels store items in tight spaces. Stonecutters convert stone blocks into other variants, while grindstones repair and disenchant items. Smokers and blast furnaces smelt only specific items, but they use fuel more efficiently and work twice as fast as a normal furnace.
Some additions reach into food, plants and mobs. Suspicious stew grants a potion effect when eaten and can be crafted from any vanilla flower, and berry bushes give sweet berries after growing through four stages in taiga biomes. Bamboo serves as furnace fuel and crafts into sticks, and pandas spawn in jungles. The author notes the mod is early in development and that more content will follow.
Future MC is published for Forge only, and its latest file, 0.2.21, targets 1.12.2 and was released on 2025-02-06. The server and every player need the mod installed. It is not open source; the code is released under All rights reserved.
