Simple Fullbright lets a player raise the game's brightness past the vanilla Brightness limit, with a keybind and a slider in the Video Settings menu.

What it does

The mod extends the vanilla Brightness slider so it can be dragged far beyond the default maximum, up to 1500 percent. A keybind, set under the Simple Fullbright category in the standard Options Key Binds menu, toggles the brightness on and off instantly, which is useful when exploring deep caves or building at night. Gamma can be adjusted past vanilla limits, so the level can match a player's own display and preference.

The mod is a client-side only utility. Only the player's client needs it, and servers can be joined without installing anything. It works with Iris, other shader packs and Sodium. Fabric builds depend on the Fabric API library. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.16.5 – 26.3 and the latest release, 1.4.0 for 26.3, dated 2026-09-20. The code is under the MIT License and is open source.
