What it does

Fruit trees and their fruits generate in the world, in sparse jungle, eroded badlands, flower forest, sunflower plains, meadow and windswept hills biomes. Players gather fruit from these trees rather than crafting it, which spreads new food sources through the terrain they already travel.

Dragon fruit, golden pineapple and enchanted golden pineapple are among the fruits added, and the in-game name of the mod is shown alongside its content. Fruit Trees requires Fabric API on both loaders and runs as a client and server mod, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Fabric and Forge, both for 1.20.1, and the source code is public under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license.

Key features

  1. Fruits across biomes

New fruits spawn in several biome types, so a food source can be found while exploring rather than only by farming.

  2. Dragon fruit

Dragon fruit is one of the added fruits, giving players another item to collect and eat.

  3. Golden pineapple

Golden pineapples are added as a rarer fruit, with an enchanted variant for players who collect them.

  4. Biome-specific trees

Each fruit tree grows in the biomes that suit it, from badlands and jungle to plains and hills.
