No Friendly Fire
With No Friendly Fire installed, a player can mark other players as protected so that accidental hits on allies are blocked.
What it does
The mod keeps a protected players list on the client. A player is added to the list through the mod menu or by looking at them and pressing a custom key, and removed the same way or by clearing the whole list. Damage is not dealt to anyone on the list, which helps during team battles where allies stand close together. The list can be edited without uninstalling the mod, and the mod can be turned off and back on whenever it is needed.
The mod also includes a compass that reports the nearest player in the area, shows their name and location, and displays a count of other players nearby. Protected players are not shown by the compass, so hidden allies stay out of view while enemies still appear. Messages and interface text are available in eight languages: English, Turkish, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Simplified Chinese, and they follow the client language. The mod runs on Fabric with the Fabric API and is distributed as a client mod, so servers do not need it.
The current build is 2.2.2 for 1.21.11. Files cover game versions 1.18.2 – 26.1.1, and the mod was first published on 2024-07-08 and last updated on 2026-05-19. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
Key features
Protected players list
Players added to the list take no damage from the player, which prevents accidental hits on allies.
Nearest-player compass
A compass points to the closest player, showing their name and location, with a count of others nearby.
Hidden allies
Players on the protected list do not appear on the compass, so friendly positions stay private.
