Local Locator
Local Locator restores the player-tracking compass on Fabric clients, so players can find nearby friends even where a server has turned off its locator compass.
What it does
Some servers disable the new Locator Compass through its gamerule. Local Locator works on the client alone and reactivates tracking for players within the immediate area, so nearby friends can still be found on those servers. No configuration is needed: each player is given a unique color on the compass for tracking. Builds are published for Fabric across 10 release versions, 1.21.6 – 26.2, and the source code is public under All rights reserved.
