Forbidden Potions adds potion recipes and extended tiers to the Magic category, including effects that vanilla Minecraft does not offer as potions.

What it does

Effects that were previously not available as potions can be brewed with this mod. Players can craft potions such as Darkness Resistance, and the potions come in II, III and IV tiers. Custom items provided by the mod are used to brew some of these potions.

Potion durations can be extended for the higher tiers, for example Darkness IV or Nausea at tier IV, which lasts 8 minutes. Fabric API is required on every loader, so it must be installed alongside Forbidden Potions. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Builds cover 1.19.2 – 1.20.3 across Fabric, Forge and Quilt, and the code is released under the MIT License, not as open source. The mod was first published on 2023-07-10 and last updated on 2023-09-23, and the author says further updates are planned.
