FlashbackClipper
by NebulaJinxed
Players who want a short replay of a sudden fight can use FlashBackClipper, a Fabric add-on that keeps a rolling buffer of recent gameplay for Flashback.
What it does
A replay buffer runs in the background while a world is played and keeps only the most recent minutes of footage, in the way an OBS replay buffer does. Older footage leaves the buffer as new footage arrives, so disk use stays flat however long the session lasts. Pressing the Save Clip control, or F9 from the pause menu, writes the buffered span out as a regular Flashback replay that opens in Flashback's replay browser and editor, alongside recordings made the normal way. The buffer and a standard Flashback recording can run at the same time, and stopping the world discards whatever the buffer still holds.
Built on top of Flashback by Moulberry, the mod depends on Flashback for recording and playback, and Simple Voice Chat is optional: when it is installed, saved clips include voice chat conversations. The buffer is controlled from the pause menu through a Start Replay Buffer button placed next to Flashback's recording controls. Settings for the mod sit under a FlashBack Clipper heading in the config screen of Flashback, which ModMenu opens. The mod is published for Fabric only, for 1.21.11, 26.1.2 and 26.2, and runs on the client alone.
Key features
Rolling replay buffer
Gameplay is buffered continuously, and footage older than the configured window is deleted as the buffer moves forward.
Exact clip duration
A saved clip covers precisely the duration set in the configuration, measured in game ticks.
Save with one key
The Save Clip button in the pause menu, or F9, turns the last few minutes into a Flashback replay in one step.
Voice chat in clips
When Simple Voice Chat is present, the conversations heard during the buffered span are included in the saved clip.

How it compares
Flashback Recording Indicator is a Fabric add-on for 26.1.2 – 26.3 with the MIT License, and it is not open source; it marks an active recording rather than buffering footage. KillClipper is Fabric-only for 1.19 – 1.21.11 under All rights reserved, and it is not open source. Cameraman is server-side only, a Fabric mod for 1.21.11 under All rights reserved, so it does not run on the client.
