Find My Villager
by earlystream
Find My Villager remembers villager trades a player has opened and lets the player search and locate them later, inside Minecraft Java Edition.
What it does
The mod keeps a local record of each villager and wandering trader a player opens the trade screen for, storing the item, enchantment, profession, villager name, location and trade details. Later the saved entries can be searched with the V key or the Ctrl+F shortcut in the trading hall, so a player can go straight to a librarian with a useful enchantment without opening every villager again. Trades are still found the usual way, by opening a villager's trade screen, and the mod leaves villager behaviour itself untouched.
Once a saved villager is selected, a HUD compass points back to it and a live distance readout counts down while walking toward it. The villager can be highlighted with a glow effect to pick the right one inside a crowded trading hall. Favorite villagers appear first in the results, and custom names can be added to saved entries. Each entry also shows level, progress, stock status and last-seen information.
The Data Manager screen exports, imports, backs up, resets and manages the local databases, which suits players who move worlds between launchers or test several Minecraft versions. The mod is client-side only and needs Fabric API as a required dependency. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds covering 1.21.1 – 26.1.2 under a custom license that is not open source.
