Fields

by Nikrecs

Fields generates eight farm-field structure variants in plains biomes, each one crops-filled and set into the terrain around it.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltServer-side onlyMIT License1.19.2 – 26.1.2

What it does

The mod adds handcrafted farm fields to the overworld using only vanilla blocks and worldgen, so no custom blocks or items are introduced. Each field variant adapts to slopes, riverbanks and flat ground, and every field grows a single crop type for a unified agricultural look.

Each field comes with access roads, fences, irrigation ditches, wheel ruts, dirt piles and meadow transitions, so the structures blend into the landscape. Fields only generate in newly explored chunks, and chunks visited before the mod was added stay untouched. Removing the mod keeps already generated fields as ordinary blocks, and only future generation stops. Installation is on the server, and clients may join without it since it runs server-side only. The mod is published under the MIT License and is not open source, with files for 26.1.2 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.

Key features

  1. Eight terrain-aware variants

Field structures are placed to suit sloped ground, riverbanks and flat terrain instead of one fixed template.

  2. Single-crop fields

Each field is planted with one crop type, giving a realistic and unified farm appearance.

  3. Surrounding details

Wheel ruts, dirt piles and meadow transitions surround the crops to make the fields feel lived in.

  4. Vanilla-only content

Fields use existing vanilla blocks and items, so the generated areas work without extra resource setup.
