Farmland Water [Light QoL for Farm/ Walking on water]
by Neni-o
Farmland Water lets players walk on water placed next to tilled farmland, using an invisible waterlogged surface that the mod keeps in step with the fields.
What it does
Water placed beside tilled soil is converted into an invisible waterlogged platform, so a player can cross the water and reach the crops on the farm. Crops on these platforms stay hydrated. Real-time water detection converts a platform when water next to farmland is placed or removed, and periodic scans keep the platforms aligned with the fields. Platforms that are no longer needed revert, and the water farmland disappears when the feature is turned off.
The behavior is switched by a gamerule named FarmlandWater, so a world can enable or disable the feature at any time. Bucket-poured flowing water converts instantly. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds across 1.20 – 1.21.10, and its latest files are 2.0.0. Installation covers the server and each player's game. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source.
