Extended Time
by DreykaOas
With Extended Time installed on a server, the length of each in-game day can be set to a number of minutes, or synced to the real clock.
What it does
Extended Time lets server owners set how long one Minecraft day lasts, using a single command. Vanilla runs a cycle of about 20 minutes, while the mod decouples the tick rate of game time from that default. The duration can be changed to 24 hours, 12 hours or 1 hour, and switching between those presets takes effect immediately.
A real-time mode syncs the in-game sun with the actual clock of the server, so a day follows the wall-clock 24-hour cycle. The mod handles the doDaylightCycle game rule automatically, and settings are saved without a separate step.
Extended Time is a server-side only mod for Forge and NeoForge, released under the MIT License as open source. Its files cover eight release versions, 1.19.2 – 1.21.8, and the latest files are 1.0.0 for 1.20.4 on Forge and 1.0.0 for 1.21.8 on NeoForge. Players join without installing it.

Use cases
Realistic pacing
A server can run a 24-hour cycle so that night falls at the same local time each day.
Faster or slower days
A shorter day suits fast-paced servers, while a longer day stretches the time between nights.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to change how long a Minecraft day lasts, or match it to real time. Players need nothing extra, because the mod is server-side only.
