No Night Skip
by DreykaOas
No Night Skip keeps the night at its normal length on a server, so players who sleep through it regenerate health instead of having the time jumped forward.
What it does
Instead of skipping the night instantly, the mod keeps the bed mechanic running while time progresses normally. A player who sleeps stays in bed, regenerates health slowly, and is woken at dawn with health restored. The mod counts the missing health and the ticks left until sunrise, then sets the regeneration rate so health reaches full at exactly tick 24000. If another mod changes the standard night length or the healing rate, the calculation adjusts on its own.
The mod is server-side only: the server installs and activates it, and clients need nothing extra to join. Players who sleep stay in place, may set their spawn point, and can go AFK without forcing the time. It is published for Forge and NeoForge across 8 release versions, 1.19.2 – 1.21.8, and the code is open source under the MIT License.
Key features
Health regeneration during sleep
Players who sleep regenerate health over the length of the night rather than waking at once.
Safe resting
Players stay safe in their beds, can set a spawn point there, and can go idle without the time being forced forward.
Dynamic healing calculation
The regeneration rate is computed from missing health and the remaining time until sunrise, so the timing holds when the night length changes.
Perfect dawn timing
Health reaches full exactly as the sun rises at tick 24000, with no leftover ticks.
Replaces instant night skip
Sleeping changes its usual effect: time progresses normally during the night instead of jumping to morning.

Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want sleeping to restore health without shortening the night. Players join without installing anything; the server alone runs the mod.
