Exposure: Polaroid
by mortuusars
With Exposure: Polaroid installed, a camera-equipped player can print a photograph on the spot from an Instant Camera, which this addon adds to the Exposure camera system.
What it does
The addon introduces an Instant Camera that works alongside the camera mechanics of Exposure. Each exposed slide becomes one Photograph, and the print is ready about two seconds after the shot, so no separate developing step is needed. The camera holds up to 12 slides and supports both color and black and white slides, as the film rolls of Exposure do.
The camera trades some range for convenience. Attachments cannot be fitted to it, apart from the built-in flash. Zoom and shutter speed are limited compared with a full camera. The resolution of the resulting images is somewhat lower, and that setting can be changed in the configuration. Exposure: Polaroid requires Exposure and Fabric API, and it runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge under the MIT License, and the code is open source.
Key features
Instant prints
A photograph appears about two seconds after an exposure, without any developing step.
Slide capacity
The camera holds up to 12 slides, and each exposed slide produces one Photograph.
Color and black and white
Both slide types are available, matching the film rolls used by the base Exposure mod.
Built-in flash only

Use cases
Quick photos during play
Players who want a finished print straight after a shot can use the camera without waiting on a darkroom step.
Lower-resolution prints
Servers that prefer smaller image files can lower the resolution of prints through the configuration.
Who it’s for: Players and server owners who already run Exposure and want a faster camera with fewer adjustable settings.
How it compares
Exposure: Polaroid is the instant camera addon for that system, released under the MIT License and open source, with files for 1.20.1 and 1.21.1. ExposureCamcorder is also open source under the MIT License and covers 1.20.1 – 1.21.11, but it adds a video camera rather than instant prints. Smooth Camera Movement is licensed under the Apache License 2.0, is not open source, and is client-side only, so it changes camera motion without adding any photos.
