Expanded Gamerules
by glektarssza
Expanded Gamerules is a Fabric and Forge server mod that adds new gamerules for turning off several mob and block behaviours in a world.
What it does
Each new rule is a switch a server owner sets with a command. Disable Targeting Players stops mobs from targeting players, Disable Enderman Teleportation stops Endermen from teleporting, and Disable Shulker Teleportation does the same for Shulkers. Further rules turn off hunger and its bar, natural ice formation, ice melting near light sources, cactus damage and sweet berry bush damage.
The mod runs on the server alone, so players join without installing anything. It is published for Fabric and Forge across 21 release versions, 1.16 – 1.20.6, and is open source under the MIT License. The source code and issue tracker are public. The author describes the rule list as still under heavy development, with more rules planned.

Use cases
Peaceful survival servers
A server owner can set several rules together to reduce mob aggression and environmental hazards for players who prefer a calmer world.
Build and exploration worlds
Turning off hunger, cactus and berry damage lets players build or explore without those pressures on the server.
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to customize gamerules beyond vanilla settings. Players only need the mod if the server runs it.
