Equipable Lanterns

by DumbleDooof

Equipable Lanterns puts two lanterns into the Curios belt slot, so a player can carry light without holding it in a hand.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

The mod adds two equipable lanterns, a Belt Lantern and a Belt Soul Lantern, which occupy the Curios belt slot. A player who equips one keeps the light source active while the hands stay free. Dynamic Lights support can be turned on in its configuration file so the lanterns cast light on the player's surroundings. Both Curios API and Radiant Gear are required, and the mod is released for Forge 1.20.1 under the MIT License. It is not open source.

Key features

  1. Belt Lantern

A lantern that sits in the Curios belt slot and stays equipped while the player does other tasks.

  2. Belt Soul Lantern

A second equipable lantern for the same belt slot, offering a soul variant of the light.

  3. Dynamic Lights option

With Dynamic Lights installed, the lanterns' light can be enabled through the mod's selflight configuration file.
