Emissive Skin Renderer

Emissive Skin Renderer lets a player's skin keep parts of its texture lit in the dark, through a separate glow layer added as a resource pack.
What it does
Parts of a skin can be made to glow in dark areas by drawing a glow layer image and placing it in a resource pack. The mod reads that layer and renders the marked pixels as emissive, so they stay bright where the rest of the skin is shaded. Because the effect is applied on the client, a server needs no change for players to see it, and it can run alone or on either side without requiring the other.
Installation uses a glow skin pack resource pack. The layer file has to be named after the skin with a .png ending in lowercase, matching the Minecraft name, and the mod is published for Fabric and Forge across 1.19 – 1.19.3. Source code, an issue tracker and a wiki are public, and the project is open source under the MIT License.
