Elytra Chestplate
Elytra Chestplate lets a player wear a chestplate and an elytra in the same turn, so both pieces stay visible and usable at once.
What it does
Normally the chest slot holds one item, which means an elytra replaces any armor piece worn there. The mod keeps the chestplate and the elytra in the same slot's usage, so a player can equip both and glide while the armor still counts toward protection. Both pieces are shown on the character model together.
The chestplate and elytra are made at a Smithing Table, and the recipe lets a player combine the two into a single setup. Once crafted, the two functions work together on the player, and each one can still be used on its own. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with builds covering 1.21.2 – 26.2 and a data pack version for servers.
The mod is a server mod: the server needs it, and players may install it to see the new equipment on their own clients. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source. Fabric API is required on the Fabric loader.
