Elytra Slot Compat connects Elytra Slot to the Elytra and Armor systems so that custom elytras can be used in the back slot.

What it does

Elytra Slot Compat is a compatibility layer for Elytra Slot. Its main job is to let players equip Elytra-style items in the back slot through configuration, with each texture and item ID mapped in a JSON file. Players can add their own mods' elytras by entering the item ID on the left side of the map and the matching texture ID on the right, and the default file already covers Netherite Elytra, Netherite Extension, Poisonous Polytra, Poisonous Potato Update Netherite and Plated Elytra Netherite Plated Elytra.

Installation is simple: add the mod next to Elytra Slot and its required libraries, launch once so the file elytraslot compat.json is created in the config directory, then edit it. Required dependencies are Caelus API, Curios API, Elytra Slot, Fabric API and Trinkets. Installation covers the server and each player's game. The code is published under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source. Files exist for 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1, with 1.2.0-1.20.1 as the latest file on Fabric, Forge and NeoForge.

  4. Armor value display

    When enableArmorValue is true, which is the default, durability applies to elytras equipped in the Cape or Back slots.

  5. Single-slot option

    Setting enableAnotherSlot to false limits use to one slot, when only one is wanted.

Trinkets Elytra Support covers Fabric and NeoForge for 26.1 – 26.3 under the MIT License and is open source; the server needs it, while players may add it without requiring it.
