Dragon Mounts Remastered

by Wyrmheart Team

Dragon Mounts Remastered lets players tame, ride and breed dragons, with a companion focus taken from an earlier take on the idea.

NeoForgeClient and serverCustom license1.20.4 – 1.21.1

What it does

Dragons can be tamed, ridden and bred in survival and exploration play. The mod aims to bring back the companion feel of an earlier dragon mount mod while keeping the creatures in step with modern Minecraft. Geckolib is required and must be installed alongside it.

Three dragon behaviours are included. A tamed dragon can be told to sit and stay in place, to follow the rider on the ground or in the air, or to wander inside a set radius. Three other mods require Dragon Mounts Remastered: DMR: Phantom Dragon, DMR: Craftable Eggs and DMR: Natural Spawn.

The mod is published for NeoForge only, with files for 1.20.4 and 1.21.1. The latest file, 1.9.2, targets 1.21.1 and dates from 2025-09-07. It runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is released under a custom license and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Taming and riding

Players tame dragons and ride them as mounts while exploring the world.

  2. Breeding dragons

Tamed dragons can be bred to produce new dragons for the player's companion roster.

  3. Sit command

A tamed dragon can be set to sit, which keeps it stationary wherever the player leaves it.

  4. Follow and wander modes

Dragons can follow the rider on the ground or in the air, or wander within a set radius to roam.
