Dip Dye

by nexusrealms

Dip Dye lets players color water cauldrons and dyeable items by right-clicking them with dyes, dye bottles or vials.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21.8 – 1.21.11

What it does

Right-clicking a water cauldron with dye adds color to the water, and right-clicking a dyeable item over a cauldron colors that item. Two dyeing methods are included: the vanilla method using dyes, and an additive method using dye bottles or vials that layers color onto what is already there. Adding water bottles raises the water level without changing its color. Dip Dye requires Fabric API and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need the mod. It is open source under the MIT License and has Fabric files for 1.21.8 – 1.21.11.

Key features

  1. Cauldron dyeing

Water in a cauldron takes on a dye color when a dye is used on it with a right click.

  2. Two dyeing methods

Vanilla coloring with dyes and an additive method with dye bottles or vials are both available.

  3. Water level control

Water bottles raise the level of a cauldron without changing the color already in it.
