Deadman's Clock

by veizakn1

Deadman's Clock is a Forge enchantment mod that gives the vanilla Clock a rare treasure enchantment, Tidewatch, which slows the passage of day and night.

ForgeClient and serverMIT License1.20.1

What it does

Tidewatch can be applied to a regular Clock with an Anvil, using an enchanted book. Only the timing of sunrise and sunset moves more slowly; the rest of the game keeps ticking normally. Disabling doDaylightCycle still stops the day and night cycle as usual. Each enchantment level slows the day further, and the strongest Tidewatch Clock a player carries sets the effect, applying across the whole world and to players in every dimension.

Tidewatch books are found only in Shipwreck Treasure chests, each level rolling its own independent chance. An enchanted Clock must be held in hand to count, and when several players are present, the top Tidewatch level among them is the one applied. Tidewatch enchantments cannot be combined with other upgrades on the same stack. With keepInventory disabled, a Tidewatch Clock drops on death and can be recovered; with keepInventory enabled, it is removed on death on purpose. Normal Clocks and unused Tidewatch books are not affected.

The mod is Forge only, released for Minecraft 1.20.1. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source.
