Data Dumper
by settingdust
Data Dumper lets a datapack developer browse a game's registries from chat and export their entries to JSON files, all from the server side.
What it does
Commands list the registries in the game and show their contents, and the output can be narrowed with a regex or a tag filter, for example to find every block containing planks or every block tagged c:chests. A failed datapack entry can be traced back through the parse errors it produces, which makes broken files easier to locate.
Exported registry entries are written as JSON into a .datadumper folder under the server's working directory, so they can be read or compared outside the game. Clicking a chat message copies the entry, and a mod set option can turn off development mods for published modpacks. Data Dumper runs on Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the source code is public under the MIT License. Fabric Language Kotlin, KotlinLangForge, Preloading Tricks and Sinytra Connector are required dependencies.
Key features
Registry listing
Commands list the registries of the game so a developer can see which entries exist before filtering them.
Regex and tag filters
Registry contents can be narrowed with a regular expression or by tag, to locate specific blocks or items quickly.
JSON export
Registry entries are saved as JSON files in a .datadumper folder beside the server's working directory, for debugging and comparison.
Chat copy
Clicking a message in chat copies the entry, so the value does not have to be typed by hand.

Use cases
Tracing datapack errors
Entries that fail to parse are listed, so a developer can find the file that caused the problem.
Who it’s for: Datapack developers and server owners who need to inspect registry data on a running server without leaving the game.
How it compares
Easy Install is a client-side only mod for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt, released under the MIT License and covering 1.20.1 – 26.3, so it does not change server registries. RecipeExport is server-side only, open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, and covers 1.21 – 26.1.2 on all four loaders, which overlaps with the export side of Data Dumper. KubeJS Generator is not open source, is licensed as All rights reserved, and needs the client while the server is optional for 1.20.1 – 1.21.1.
