Daggercraft

by dream.foxtrot.57901

Daggercraft overhauls the armor and weapon systems of Minecraft 1.20.1 on Forge, adding new gear for early and late game play.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.20.1

What it does

Daggercraft replaces much of the vanilla combat progression. It completely overhauls the armor system, adding a range of new armors for both early and late game, and it also adds defenses against specific damage types. The weapon system is reworked in the same way, with new weapons spread across the game stages. Several consumable items are new, and a few existing ones have been altered.

The mod also changes the world itself. A few new workbenches and villager professions arrive, and villager trades are overhauled. New entities populate villages, some hostile, some neutral and some passive. Several new structures carry their own loot. Races can be disabled through a gamerule, which changes how play is switched. The author plans wider customization through gamerules and notes that a number of them exist to reduce lag.

Daggercraft requires AttributeFix, Curios API, Dimension Teleport, Geckolib, Kleiders Custom Renderer API, Load My F***ing Tags, Pehkui and Tooltip Overhaul. Just Enough Items (JEI) and Neruina - Ticking Entity Fixer are optional, and the author strongly recommends Neruina. The mod runs on client and server, and it is released for Forge only, with a single file for 1.20.1, published on 2025-11-04. All rights reserved applies, so it is not open source.
