Crystal Opacity

by cutebow

Crystal Opacity lets players adjust how see-through crystal blocks look, using a set of slider and toggle controls for each part.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21 – 1.21.11

What it does

Crystal blocks in the game can be made more or less transparent by the player. The mod adds a core opacity slider, separate sliders for the inner glass, outer glass and extra glass layers, and per-part toggles so each layer can be switched on or off independently. Changing these values only alters how crystals are drawn on the player's screen.

Settings are reached through Mod Menu, which is the intended entry point for the configuration screen. Because the mod only changes rendering, it has no effect on blocks, recipes, worlds or other players. Players who want fully solid crystals or a faint, almost invisible look can set the sliders to match.

Crystal Opacity is built for Fabric and targets Minecraft 1.21 – 1.21.11, with files for 12 release versions. The mod is client-side only, so servers run without it. It is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Core opacity slider

A single slider sets the overall transparency of crystal blocks, so the whole look can be adjusted at once.

  2. Per-layer glass sliders

Separate sliders control the inner glass, outer glass and extra glass layers, letting each part of a crystal be tuned on its own.

  3. Per-part visibility toggles

Each glass layer can be turned on or off, which changes which parts of a crystal are drawn.

  4. Mod Menu settings screen

Options are gathered in a configuration screen opened from Mod Menu, keeping the controls in one place.
