Borderless Windowed Vulkan lets Minecraft run in a borderless fullscreen window on Fabric, so other apps stay usable beside the game.
What it does
The mod makes the game window borderless and fullscreen, so pressing Win + Tab or clicking another monitor does not minimize Minecraft. Players can keep the game open while working in other programs or reading something placed on top of it. Its main target is the Vulkan rendering path, although the author notes that the window behaves the same way without Vulkan.
The author describes it as a fix for the way the Vulkan setup handles window focus, which the built-in options do not cover. Windows updates can change window handling, so the author warns that the mod may stop working after one and suggests that this could be the cause if it fails. The source code and an issue tracker are public.
Installation requires only the Fabric loader. It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing. The mod is released under the MIT License, is open source, and its files target 1.21 – 26.3 with 26.3 as the latest build on the beta channel.
