Create: Seats Third Person

by Foundry Studios

Sitting in a Create seat normally locks the camera to the first-person view, and Create: Seats Third Person lets the player pull the camera back to a third-person view instead.

NeoForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.21.1

What it does

Pressing V while seated on a Create seat turns on a third-person camera, and the mouse wheel or the configured keys set the zoom distance. Toggling V again restores the original camera view when the player stands up, and every key in this set can be rebound in the controls menu. Create is required, and the mod is published for NeoForge only, with a single version, 1.21.1.

The mod works on seats attached to moving contraptions, including trains, carriages and aircraft, so a rider can watch the scenery pass from outside the vehicle while still riding it. Aircraft from the Aeronautics addon are covered, and other seat-like contraptions can be added through the client config. Because the camera change happens on the client, a player who wants to adjust a train's speed can turn the third-person camera off first and then change the speed with the scroll wheel.

Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. The mod is released under All rights reserved, so the code is not open source. Version 1.0.0 for 1.21.1 was published on 2026-07-07, the same day the mod was first released and last updated.
