Create: Galvanized adds a Zinc-based upgrade path for iron and steel Create equipment, where a galvanized tool or armor piece gets more durability and enchantability than its base version.
What it does
Galvanized equipment is made by upgrading existing iron steel gear at a Smithing Table with a Galvanized Upgrade Smithing Template and a Zinc Ingot. The template can be found in mineshafts, village blacksmith chests and pillager outpost chests, and it can be duplicated after a Zinc Ingot is combined with Tuff in a sequenced assembly recipe. Repairs use Zinc Ingots, with the default repair material configurable.
The upgrade is stronger for tools than for armor: galvanized tools gain about 60% more durability and galvanized armor about 33% more, along with a higher enchantability bonus. Create is required, and galvanized steel equipment needs Create to function. Alloyed is optional. The mod is published for Forge for 1.20.1, with the latest file 1.0.2 dated 2026-05-22, and is released under the MIT License as open source. Both the server and every player need it.
