Create: Exploded
Create: Exploded makes fuel tanks explode when they hold flammable fluids, with the blast scaled to how much flammable liquid they contain.
What it does
Fuel tanks and fluid vessels that store supported liquids become volatile. Each liquid carries its own explosiveness value, drawn from real-world combustion energy and flammability, and a tank destroyed in an explosion detonates with force proportional to its contents. Fluids matched through the fluid tags tfmg:flammable and tfmg:fuel are treated as dangerous, and custom fluids without tags fall back to registry-name matching. Diesel engines and thrusters receive their own multiblock-aware explosion logic.
The mod is required on every side of a server, since it runs on client and server, and it depends on Create and Kotlin for Forge. Create: Diesel Generators, Create: Connected, Create: Propulsion: Simulated, Create: Petrochem and Create: The Factory Must Grow are optional, and the mod works with them. Other Create addons that store fluids generally work alongside it as a compatibility effort, not a supported feature. Released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, the code is open source and public links include the source code. Files are published for NeoForge 1.21.1, with the latest file v1.2.2 dated 2026-10-11.
Key features
Volatile fuel tanks
Tanks holding flammable liquids can explode when destroyed, and the blast grows with the amount stored.
Per-fluid explosiveness
Each supported liquid has its own value, so fuels differ in how hard they detonate.
Explicit engine handling
Diesel engines and thrusters use their own explosion logic that accounts for their multiblock shape.
Custom damage source
Explosions use a custom damage type that bypasses vanilla explosion behavior, and one API method call sets a fuel tank off.

How it compares
AeroEngine-Fuel-Whitelist is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1 – 1.21.11, published under All rights reserved, and it is not open source; it works on client and server, like Create: Exploded. Create: Fluids Be Gone (+Simulated) is a NeoForge mod for 1.21.1, released under the MIT License and open source, and it also runs on client and server. Custom Fluid Mixin is server-side only, covers Forge and NeoForge for 1.18.2 – 1.20.1, and is not open source, so players join without installing it.

What the author says
Create: Exploded adds volatile, explosive fluids to the Create ecosystem. Fuels and crude liquids stored in Fluid Tanks and Fluid Vessels are no longer inert — expose them to a nearby explosion, and they'll detonate with force proportional to how much flammable liquid they're holding. No more parking a warehouse of…
