Crash Command
by NoEul
Crash Command lets a player or operator start a deliberate game crash from a command, for testing or for pranks on other players.
What it does
Crash Command adds a command that makes the Minecraft game crash on purpose, and it can be given an argument that sets the crash reason shown to the player. The command is meant for testing how crashes are reported, checking crash handling in other mods, or running a lost-game style scenario in a world. Because a crash ends the session, the command is most useful on a test world or a private server.
The mod can also make the game JVM crash through the command, which is a harder failure than a normal game exception. When no argument is given, the default crash message is used. Crash Command runs on Fabric and needs Fabric API, and Mod Menu is optional for opening its settings from the mods list. It is open source under the MIT License, and its source code and issue tracker are public.
Files are published for Fabric only, for 21 release versions, with 1.1.0 for 1.21.8 as the latest file. Snapshot builds are also published. It works on either side, and neither side has to have it.
Key features
Crash command
A command triggers a deliberate game crash, ending the session right away.
Custom crash reason
An argument sets the message reported with the crash, instead of the default text.
JVM crash option
The command can crash the game JVM itself, a more severe failure than a standard exception.
Lost game scenario
The crash can serve as a lost game event for story or adventure maps built around a sudden failure.

Who it’s for: Mod developers, modpack testers and map makers who need a controlled crash. Players who want a stable session should leave the mod out of their game.
How it compares
Crash Command is a Fabric mod that runs on the client or server and is open source under the MIT License. Crash Pipe is client-side only, released under the MIT License, and covers 1.16 – 1.21.1 but is not open source. NoHit+ is client-side only, open source under the MIT License, and covers 1.21 – 1.21.11, so it targets newer releases than Crash Command does for its later builds.
