Craftable Totems
by StaticLabs
Craftable Totems lets players craft the Totem of Undying from eight Golden Apples and one Ghast Tear, instead of finding it as a drop.
What it does
The mod adds a crafting recipe for the Totem of Undying. Its ingredients are eight Golden Apples, which take gold and time to gather in the overworld, and a single Ghast Tear from the Nether. Because the recipe draws on resources from two dimensions, the totem stays a valuable item even though it can be made on demand.
The mod is a lightweight addition that also ships as a data pack, so it can be loaded on a server without a mod loader. Server owners who want a predictable route to immortality, and players who want to avoid a non-renewable grind, can use it to keep survival worlds moving. It supports unlimited lives through the totem, which is still consumed when it saves a player from death.
The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with files for 26.1.1 and 37 release versions. A server needs the mod, while players may install it too and are not required to. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source.
Key features
Craftable Totem of Undying
The totem is crafted in a standard crafting grid from eight Golden Apples and one Ghast Tear, with no drop needed.
Balanced recipe
Rare materials from the overworld and the Nether are combined, keeping the totem precious even when it can be made.
Renewable survival path
Players can produce totems again after they are used, so a long-term world does not depend on luck for immortality.
