Coyote Time
Coyote Time lets a player still jump for a short moment after walking or running off the edge of a block, so a jump pressed just late still registers.
What it does
When the player leaves a block by walking or running off it, the jump key still works for a short window afterward. A jump pressed within 10 ticks of stepping off the edge is applied as a normal jump. The mod also removes the cooldown between consecutive jumps and allows jumping while standing in water, which makes platforming and jumping across gaps less punishing.
Coyote Time is a client-side change that needs only the Fabric or Quilt loader and no other library. It is published for 1.18.2, 1.19, 1.19.1 and 1.19.2, with 1.0.0 for 1.19.2 as the latest file on both loaders. The source code and issue tracker are public, and the project is released under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, which places it in the public domain.
Key features
Late jump window
A jump pressed shortly after walking off a block still counts, so ledge jumps do not fail by a few ticks.
No jump cooldown
The delay between consecutive jumps is removed, letting the player jump again as soon as they land.
Jumping in water
The player can jump while standing in water, which the vanilla game does not allow.
Client-side behavior
The changes take effect on the player's client, so the server does not need the mod to run.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Platforming maps
Parkour and platforming maps that depend on precise jumps across gaps can be played with more forgiving timing.
Single-player play
Players who find the vanilla jump timing strict can smooth out ledge jumps in their own worlds.
Who it’s for: Players who want more forgiving jump timing in single-player or multiplayer, and map makers who build jumping challenges and want the timing to feel less strict.
How it compares

Player Charge Jump is a Fabric mod for 1.21 – 26.2 that requires both client and server, and it is open source under the CC0 1.0 Universal license, like Coyote Time.
