Configured Feature Saplings
Configured Feature Saplings fixes a bug so that datapacks can change how saplings and mushrooms grow.
What it does
Before this fix, a datapack that customized a configured feature had no effect on saplings and mushrooms: a grown tree still came from the hardcoded vanilla feature. Configured Feature Saplings makes the growth step read the feature a datapack defines in the worldgen configured features folder, so changes apply to newly grown trees and mushrooms. The mod is server-side only, so only the server needs it and players join without installing anything. Builds exist for 1.18.2 and 1.19.2, with 1.1.0 as the latest file for Fabric and Quilt, and the code is open source under CC0 1.0 Universal.
Key features
Datapack-driven growth
Saplings and mushrooms use the configured feature named in a datapack instead of the hardcoded vanilla tree.
Applies to new growth
Edits to the worldgen configured features folder take effect on trees and mushrooms that grow after the change.
