Combatify
Combatify replaces the current combat system with one modeled on Mojang's Combat Test 8c, adjusting attack speed, reach and damage per weapon.
What it does
Combatify ports the attack mechanics of Combat Test 8c to modern versions and reworks how hits register. Attack speed and reach differ between weapons, unarmed attacks deal more damage, and charged hits extend reach by one block. Sneaking removes the reach bonus, and the invulnerability window after a hit lasts 10 ticks unless the attacker's weapon attacks faster. Hits that pass through non-solid blocks are possible without breaking them.
The mod is aimed at players who want a more precise and customizable combat system, on single-player worlds and on servers. Server owners and clients can tune the values to their preference. Either side can run it, and neither needs it, so it may be installed on a client alone, a server alone or both. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v2.1 only, and the code is open source.
Combatify depends on Atlas Core, Cloth Config API, Defaulted, Fabric API, Forgified Fabric API and MidnightLib. Mod Menu, CookeyMod and Polymer are optional. Builds cover 1.18.2 – 26.2 across Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and snapshot builds are published.
Key features

Per-weapon attack speed and reach
Each weapon has its own attack speed and reach, and charged hits add one extra block of reach.
Stronger unarmed attacks
Attack damage with fists is increased, so bare-handed fighting is more viable.
Adjustable invulnerability timing
Hit invulnerability lasts 10 ticks unless the attacker's weapon attacks faster, and sneaking removes the reach bonus.
