Cold Snap Horde
Cold Snap Horde adds a band of hostile snowmen, led by a horde of six member types, that attack players and villagers after a shaking snow globe calls them in.
What it does
Six member types make up the horde, and each comes in four regional variants that carry their own strengths and weaknesses. The Snowman Gunner fires coal from a toy gun and can blind victims briefly, the Snowman Stabber runs at villagers, players and golems with a knife, and the Snowman Snowballer throws rock-filled snowballs faster than a regular snow golem, with one hit causing a brief disorientation. The Snowman Gifter hands out presents that hold a surprise, the Snowman Zapper builds small devices from its surroundings that strike foes a few seconds after placement, and the Snowman Brawler throws targets across a distance with a heavy punch.
Cold Snap Horde takes inspiration from Frost Legion in Terraria. A shaking snow globe summons horde members to attack, and accepting the challenge can drop special loot. Wearing one snowman's top hat makes that snowman attack the wearer, so players need to take the hat off in front of it to avoid being fooled. The mod is published for Forge only, across 1.19.2, 1.19.4 and 1.20.1, and its latest file is 1.8.3.2 for 1.20.1. The server and every player need the mod installed. Curios API and Villainous Horde Manager are required. Immortuos Calyx and Patchouli are optional.
