Classic Farlands Reforged
by dddanpppan
Classic Farlands Reforged brings back the look of the Far Lands from Minecraft's early versions, on NeoForge 1.21.1 servers.
What it does
Far Lands were the old terrain boundary near coordinates 12,550,821 in the X and Z directions, where terrain turned into a flat, broken shape. This mod restores that classic appearance using Perlin noise, so distant terrain looks as it did in the older game. The distance at which the effect starts can be changed in the configuration, and a configuration menu is included.
The port is based on Farlands Reborn, which is released under the MIT License by AdyTech99, and this project is open source under the same license. A side effect of the change is that Monolith-like formations generate before the extreme distances are reached. Installing the mod alongside C2ME is not supported, since the two conflict.
The mod is server-side only, so players join without installing it. Files target 1.21.1 and the latest NeoForge build, 1.2.1+mc1.21.1, was published on 2026-06-01.

How it compares
