Custom Entity Attributes (CEA)
by ElocinDev
With Custom Entity Attributes, server owners can add attribute modifiers to mobs and bosses globally or only under set conditions such as dimension, biome, difficulty or time of day.
What it does
The mod applies attribute modifiers to entities. A modifier can be made global, or limited to entities in a given dimension, a given biome, a chosen world difficulty or a time window. Each modifier can also carry a percentage chance, so it applies only to a share of the matching mobs, which introduces variation into a world.
Two configuration files control the behavior: a basic one and an advanced one, both documented with examples to build from. Regex support lets a single rule match several entity identifiers at once. Custom Entity Attributes requires Necronomicon API, and on Forge it also needs Connector. Files are published for Fabric and Forge across 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4 and 1.20.5, with 1.0.0 for 1.20.5 as the latest file. It is server-side only, so players join without installing it, and it is released under a custom license and is not open source.
Key features
Global attribute changes
Attribute modifiers can be applied to every mob or to a single boss, raising or lowering its stats.
Condition-based rules
Rules can depend on the dimension, the biome, the world difficulty or the time, so the same mob can behave differently in each area.
Chance-based modifiers
A percentage chance lets only some entities receive extra attributes, adding variety across a population.
Baby mob adjustments
Baby versions of mobs can be made faster and stronger while having less health than their adult forms.
Time-based configuration
Settings can change with the time of day, and regex matching targets several entity identifiers in one rule.

What the author says
Custom Entity Attributes allows you to add attribute modifiers to entities, either globally or based on various conditions, such as the dimension the entity is in, the biome, world's difficulty, time, and more. It even includes a percentile chance of the attribute applying, making randomness possible. ...and more!…
