Carpet Ice Addition

by Ice2974

Carpet Ice Addition is a Fabric extension for Carpet that adds small, configurable Carpet-style rules to a server.

FabricServer-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.21 – 26.3

What it does

Carpet Ice Addition extends the Carpet mod with a set of practical tweaks. Each feature is a separate rule, so a server owner can enable only the ones needed. Under the default configuration the mod changes no vanilla behavior; a rule takes effect only after it is switched on through Carpet rules.

The rules target accidental player mistakes and edge cases around machines, fake players and mob interactions that affect technical survival servers. Its scope is deliberately narrow: it is not a large gameplay overhaul, and it keeps vanilla-friendly gameplay for servers that want small, independent additions.

The mod requires Carpet and Fabric API. Files are published for Fabric only, for game versions 1.21 – 26.3 (17 release versions). Players join without it, since only the server has to run the mod. The mod is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later and is open source.

Key features

  1. Independent Carpet rules

Each tweak is its own Carpet rule, so server owners enable only the features they want.

  2. Machine edge cases

Rules address edge cases around machines, fake players and mobs that can disrupt automated builds.

  3. Fewer accidental mistakes

Targeted rules reduce accidental block breaking and item overflow on technical servers.

  4. Vanilla by default

With the default configuration no vanilla behavior changes until a rule is enabled.
