CapeMod
by 7AGAM
CapeMod lets players equip free, transparent animated capes that other players using the mod can see, with accounts used to collect and manage them.
What it does
Players register an account to receive capes, then manage which one they wear from the in-game menu. Capes are described as free and exclusive perks offered to creators, and they can be earned without spending real money. Because the capes are visible to anyone else running the mod, the cosmetic change shows up in shared worlds as well as single-player.
The mod is client-side only, so servers run without it and players join without installing anything on the server side. Install it on Forge or Fabric, then add CapeMod to the mods folder with Fabric API and Fabric Language Kotlin, which are required dependencies. Files exist across 35 release versions, 1.8.9 – 26.2, and the Fabric build targets 26.3 as its latest file.
Public documentation is available on the project wiki. The code is not open source; the mod is released under All rights reserved, and the team retains all rights to it.
Key features
Free capes
A selection of capes is available at no cost, and each one can be earned by playing the mod.
Transparent animated capes
Some capes use transparency and animation, so their appearance changes as the player moves.
Account-based cape management
Capes are tied to a registered account, and the wearer can equip or switch them from the account screen.
Visible to other players
Other players running the mod see the equipped cape, so the cosmetic appears in multiplayer.
