CamHeads
by Kel_Cleverov
CamHeads lets players place cameras on heads and show their views on monitors, and the mod is a Fabric and Quilt utility for Minecraft 26.2 and earlier 1.21.6 – 26.2 builds.
What it does
A camera is set up by placing a head and naming it, and a monitor is made the same way with the name set to monitor. Names must match between a camera and a monitor for the feed to connect. The mod works outside the preload range and keeps working while the player's head is turned, and the camera order follows the coordinates set in the world.
CamHeads is client-side only, so players install it alone and servers do not need it. It requires AlinLib and Fabric API, and Mod Menu is an optional dependency. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt across seven game versions, 1.21.6 – 26.2, under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later, which makes the mod open source.
Key features
Camera heads
Mod cameras work through heads, so a camera can be placed as a head in the world.
Camera rotation and zoom
Rotation is adjusted with the arrow keys while the left mouse button is held, and zoom with the mouse wheel.
Monitors
Monitors are created the same way as cameras, but must be named monitor, and the names must match to link a feed.
Adjustable textures
Textures can be changed, and a camera's operation depends only on the texture's name.

Use cases
Security and build displays
Monitors can show several camera views at once in one room, for watching a base or a build from a single place.
Map and video setups
Camera heads placed around a map let a player record or present a scene without moving the character.
Who it’s for: Players who want surveillance-style views of the world, and builders who set up camera rooms on a single-player or client-side setup.
How it compares
Stage Cam is a Fabric-only, client-side mod with an MIT License, published for 1.20.1 – 1.21.4, so it covers earlier versions than CamHeads. LeaveMyCamera is also client-side and MIT licensed, but it is not open source under the same terms and is published for Fabric only, 1.21 – 26.2. SpectraCam requires the server and is not open source, so it needs a different install from the client-only CamHeads.
