WaterPlayer is a client-side Fabric and Quilt utility that plays internet music streams, including Yandex Music and Apple Music links, inside the game.

What it does

The mod is an internet music player built for the client. Players paste HTTPS links to tracks, playlists or supported streaming services and queue them for playback. Tracks load through a queue, and a playlist can be entered by name or by address, so a listener can hand the game a whole collection at once.

Audio is decoded from the common Matroska and WebM containers with AAC, Opus and Vorbis codecs. Flowery TTS support is included, and a GoodbyeDPI VPN option is available for players whose connection blocks certain streams. Because the code runs only on the client, a server does not need to install anything for players to use it.

Installation needs AlinLib and Fabric API on both Fabric and Quilt. Mod Menu is optional and only adds a configuration screen. WaterPlayer is published for Fabric and Quilt across 21 release versions, and is released under a custom license that is not open source. Source code and the issue tracker are public.

  5. Wide codec support
