What it does

Bulwark adds radioactive crystals that work as a defensive base element. Players grow them from Budding Klaproth and Bottled Ill Substance, which are made by using a glass bottle on Ill Substance vines and a bottle on a Budding Amethyst. Crystals must be collected with Silk Touch, and the remaining recipes cover the other blocks in the mod.

A placed Disrupter pushes nearby enemies away from itself, and certain blocks set above a Disrupter change its mode, so one device can be tuned to different defense behaviours. Some Disrupter modes push enemies upward instead. Eye of Ender and Sculk Catalyst recipes turn a Catalyst into an Ominous Catalyst, which is part of the crystal path.

Decorative Klaproth blocks include Klapmallows and Marshmallows, along with a new Glass variant that can be toggled to become a light-viewing block. Bulwark runs on client and server, so the server and every player need the mod. It is published for Fabric 1.21.1 only, under All rights reserved, and the source code is public without being open source. Required dependencies are AcornLib, Cardinal Components API, MidnightLib, Mod Menu and Trinkets.

Key features

  1. Radioactive crystal defenses

Radioactive crystals serve as defensive homes, and their growth starts from Budding Klaproth.

  2. Disrupter knockback

A placed Disrupter damages nearby enemies and pushes them away from its position.

  3. Mode blocks

Specific blocks placed on top of a Disrupter switch it between modes, including upward pushes.

  4. Decorative Klaproth blocks

Klapmallows, Marshmallows and a toggled Glass variant add decorative and light-viewing options.

What the author says

Budding Klaproth will create Klaproth similar to Budding Amethyst, just only upwards. These crystals MUST be silk touched to collect. When placed, the Disrupter will damage all nearby enemies and push them AWAY from the Disrupter.
