by Patbox

What it does

Drinks are made by combining ingredients in a cauldron and aging the result in a barrel. A few drinks are built in, and any number of custom drinks can be added with datapacks, each with its own recipe and effect. The mod is powered by Polymer, which must be installed alongside it.

Brewery is inspired by ideas from Sn0wStorm's Brewery plugin for Bukkit, but it does not read that plugin's configs or items. Because it runs purely on the server, vanilla clients can join a server running it and still use its drinks without installing anything. The mod is published for Fabric and Quilt across 27 release versions, 1.19.2 – 26.3, and the code is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source.

Key features

  1. Cauldron brewing

Ingredients are combined in a cauldron to start a brew, which is then finished in a barrel.

  2. Barrel aging

Barrels hold brews while they age, changing the finished drink according to its recipe.

  3. Datapack drinks

New drinks are defined in datapacks, with their own recipes and functionality, without changing the mod's code.

  4. Server-side operation

Brewing works on a server alone, so players connecting with vanilla clients can use the drinks.
