BoxLib
by Boxadactle
Boxadactle's client mods rely on BoxLib, a client-side library that supplies shared utilities for config files, commands, rendering, GUIs, world access and logging.
What it does
Shared code for Boxadactle's client mods lives in BoxLib. The library bundles a config GUI handler, a config file loader and saver, a client command handler, and client, GUI, rendering and world utilities, plus a mod logger. Other mods call these routines instead of carrying their own copies.
The library is meant to stay light and simple to call. Its focus is the tools that client mods need most often. Fabric API must be installed alongside it on Fabric, Quilt, or NeoForge builds as the loader requires. BoxLib is client-side only, so the server does not need it, and it is not meant for server mods.
Four catalog mods list BoxLib as a requirement: FlatEdit+, MacroCraft, MCShare and ElytraUtils. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 36 release versions, 1.14.4 – 26.2, and the code is under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, so it is open source.
Key features
Config GUI handler
Provides a screen layer for editing mod settings in the game, so client mods can expose options without building their own menus.
Rendering and GUI utilities
Helper routines for drawing on screen and building interface elements, shared across the client mods.
World utilities
Functions for reading client-side world state that other mods can call without writing that logic again.
Mod logger
A logging helper that gives the library's dependent mods a consistent way to record messages.

Use cases
Client mod developers
Developers of client-side mods can reuse the config, command and rendering code instead of duplicating it in each project.
Players of Boxadactle's client mods
Players who install FlatEdit+, MacroCraft, MCShare or ElytraUtils need BoxLib present, because those mods depend on it.
Who it’s for: Players who use the client mods listed above, and developers who want shared client-side utilities. Server owners should not install it, because the library is written for client mods only.
