Block'oMorph

by 151gamemode1chit

Block'oMorph lets a player turn into any block that the server allows, with a transform action bound to a key and a command for setting the target block state.

FabricForgeNeoForgeQuiltClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.20.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

The mod turns the player into a chosen block. The transform can be started from a GUI opened by a button, from a command block, or from the console. A configurable NBT tag selects the block state, so a plain stone block, a sign with text, or a portal block can each be used as the disguise. Players can morph back at any time by transforming into air.

Block entities that the player has turned into are rendered in the world, so the disguise shows its own details. Server owners can disable morphing into bedrock and other indestructible blocks, disable interaction with blocks while morphed, and enable a whitelist that limits which blocks are allowed. The mod suits mini games such as block hunt, where players hide as blocks in the world.

Block'oMorph is open source under the MIT License and requires Fabric API. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, with builds covering 1.20.1 – 26.1.2.

Key features

  1. Morph into any block

A player can take the form of a chosen block state, including simple blocks, signs and portal blocks.

  2. Transform by GUI or command

A button opens a transform screen, and the blockmorph command or a command block can apply the same change.

  3. Block entity rendering

Block entities the player has turned into are drawn, so the disguise keeps its own look.

  4. Server-side restrictions

Morphing into bedrock or other indestructible blocks, and interacting with blocks while morphed, can be disabled.

  5. Block whitelist

A whitelist limits which blocks players may morph into, letting server owners pick a set of allowed disguises.
